This Winter, Idaho’s Housing Leaders Need Us More Than Ever

As the holidays approach and temperatures drop across Idaho, too many of our neighbors will spend this season under the weight of housing instability. While many families gather in warm, decorated homes, thousands of Idahoans will face the fear of eviction, the strain of rising housing costs, or the uncertainty of where they’ll sleep tonight.

This is why Idaho Partners for Good is launching a Housing Transformational Leadership Cohort (TLC) in 2026, to strengthen the very leaders carrying this crisis on their shoulders every single day.

Idaho already has the ingredients for solutions that work: dedicated nonprofits, lived experience, committed donors, employers who care, and communities that want to help. What’s missing is the shared strategy, aligned investment, and cross-sector coordination that allow these local strengths to become statewide breakthroughs.

The Housing TLC provides exactly that for teams of housing leaders.

Why a Housing TLC, and Why Now?

Housing is not just a financing issue. It is a leadership, capacity, coordination, and community-alignment issue. Nonprofits across the housing continuum are being asked to do more than ever with fewer resources and rising demand. Leaders are burned out, funding is volatile, and organizations often work in isolation without a roadmap that ties prevention, crisis response, and long-term housing development together.

The Housing TLC changes this by equipping teams with:

  • Stronger organizational and leadership capacity

  • Peer community and cross-sector collaboration

  • Data tools and shared language to influence policy and philanthropy

  • A statewide strategy created by Idaho, for Idaho

  • When leaders think differently, and work together, entire systems can shift.

A Vision for Idaho’s Future

Picture Idaho in 20 years: A state where families no longer cycle in and out of housing instability. Where housing nonprofits are strong, coordinated, and financially sustainable. Where donors invest not just generously, but strategically. And where rural, urban, and frontier communities alike have housing solutions designed locally and supported collectively. That future is possible, but only if we invest deeply in the leaders building it.

Join Us This Holiday Season: Support the Housing TLC Through Avenues for Hope

This December, Idaho Partners for Good is participating in Avenues for Hope, Idaho’s statewide housing fundraiser. Every dollar raised will directly support launching the Housing TLC*, helping leaders prevent homelessness, stabilize families, unlock new capital, and strengthen the organizations Idaho depends on.

Your gift—whether $25, $250, or more, helps ensure that this winter, and every winter to come, more Idaho families have a warm place to call home.

Together, We Hold the Keys

As we celebrate the holidays and reflect on what it means to belong, we invite you to stand with the leaders fighting for housing stability across our state. Idaho has enough, when we invest in the people doing the work.

Support the Housing TLC through Avenues for Hope. Help us build an Idaho where every family can say, “We are home.”

Note: we are not the only ones doing impactful work - donating to nonprofits we have worked with will go a long way (Hope House, Jesse Tree Idaho, Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Neighborworks, Advocates Against Family Violence, Anna Grace Foundation, Good Samaritan Home, JEM Friends)

* $15,000 is the funding goal for Avenues of Hope, which funds one team of three leaders. To fully fund all five teams in the cohort will cost $75,000.
