March Grantee Updates: Jesse tree and Boise Bicycle Project
In February, IP4Gʻs Eval Team and co-leads met with the Jesse Tree team to discuss the results of the organizational capacity assessment (OCA) we administered. It's a snapshot in time of the different elements that are strengths and opportunities for improvement. We're excited about this learning partnership and look forward to engaging our capacity builders on many fronts to build a stronger, healthier, better-equipped future for the important work of eviction protection.
Heather Gagliano and Eve Lacivita are working with Jesse Tree. Their work is one of the most important roles in this movement because they are ambassadors and stewards of the relationship with our grantees. As co-leads, they provide leadership, coaching, resourcing, and oversight for evaluation.

We are well into our third and final year with this amazing team of community system leaders! We've learned a ton that we used to inform the work with our new grantee, Jesse Tree. We couldnʻt have asked for a better pilot partner to test this organizational effectiveness approach with. Co-leaders are Tom Gattiker and Blossom Johnston. The third-year project we're currently working on with Boise Bicycle Project is to provide support and education for their CRM (customer relationship management platform). This is where key capacity builder Jeff Benton comes in. He is helping support their goals while also helping IP4G build our own CRM so we are well-positioned to scale.
One of the really big benefits of this model is the investment our capacity builders and partners make beyond the ʻofficialʻ organizational work. We've had many Idaho Partners for Good crew members volunteer for the Christmas Bike Giveaway, become members, and support them far beyond the unrestricted grants ($45,000) and pro bono consulting we've invested.
