Introducing Julie Armstrong: Bringing Joy and Expertise to Idaho Partners for Good

Idaho Partners for Good is thrilled to welcome its newest team member, Julie Armstrong, a remarkable individual with a passion for helping marginalized communities. She is a loving and devoted mother of eight grown children. Her youngest, who is on the autism spectrum, was adopted after they were deeply moved by a Wednesdays Child profile. Julie's dedication to her family is evident, and her experience as a mother has given her valuable insights into the challenges faced by families with special needs.

Beyond her role as a mother, Julie takes immense joy in being a "Grammie" to 18 grandkids. Spending time with them brings her immeasurable happiness and serves as a reminder of the importance of family bonds.

Julie's life took an unexpected turn when her husband experienced three strokes, requiring her to become his part-time caregiver. Her commitment to his recovery and well-being showcases her unwavering support and resilience, demonstrating her ability to handle challenging situations with grace and compassion.

Having retired from her career in education, Julie has a wealth of experience working with diverse groups of individuals. From children with special needs to preschoolers at Head Start, she has left a positive impact on countless lives. As a Developmental Specialist in the Idaho Infant Toddler Program, Julie provided crucial support to families during the early stages of their children's lives.

Julie's passion for education extended to teaching college students, which she describes as a genuinely enjoyable experience. Her ability to connect with and inspire learners highlights her natural gift for imparting knowledge and fostering growth.

However, it is Julie's commitment to supporting marginalized individuals that truly sets her apart. As a Certified Poverty Coach for Communication across Barriers and an AmeriCorps VISTA, she has dedicated herself to empowering those who have been marginalized by society. Her desire to "walk the talk" is evident in her unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

Joining Idaho Partners for Good aligns perfectly with Julie's values and aspirations. She is particularly drawn to the organization's focus on capacity building and sustainability within nonprofit organizations. Recognizing the crucial role that nonprofits play as the boots on the ground, supporting marginalized individuals, Julie is excited to contribute her expertise and become a cheerleader and joy-giver for the hardworking team at Idaho Partners for Good.

In addition to her remarkable background and dedication, Julie Armstrong will also play a pivotal role in overseeing Idaho Partners for Good's joygiver program. The joygiver program holds a special place within our organization, as its purpose is to extend gratitude to the people we encounter and invite them to join our collective efforts. This program includes the heartfelt gesture of sending thank you e-cards to individuals who generously donate their time, talent, and treasure.

Julie firmly believes in the power of gratitude and aims to convey her sincerity through the messages she will be sending out. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine care for the well-being of others make her an invaluable addition to the team.

Idaho Partners for Good is privileged to have Julie Armstrong on board. Her vast experiences, unwavering commitment to helping others, and infectious joy will undoubtedly contribute to the organization's mission of making a positive impact on the lives of marginalized individuals. As we eagerly await Julie's contributions, we are certain that she will help inspire change, spread joy, and create a brighter future for those in need.
