What Legislators Wish Nonprofits Knew (And Vice Versa): A Practical Guide to Effective Advocacy.

Idaho’s nonprofit leaders know firsthand how policy decisions shape the lives of the families and communities they serve. Yet many feel unsure about how to effectively engage with legislators, what the rules really are, and how to ensure their organization’s voice is heard at the right time and in the right way.

This special December Nonprofit Success Lab brings together experienced leaders from Idaho’s political landscape for a candid, practical conversation about how nonprofits can advocate with confidence—while staying fully compliant with state and federal laws governing nonprofit political engagement.

Participants will learn the do’s and don’ts of nonprofit advocacy, how to build authentic relationships with policymakers, and what legislators wish nonprofit leaders understood about the policy process.

Before the session, nonprofits will be invited to share the questions they most want answered so our panelists can respond directly to real-world challenges.
