Unleashing the Power of 10X in 2024 at Idaho Potato Drop

On New Year’s Eve, we unleashed the power of 10X at the Idaho Potato Drop! Why? Because the traditional method of competing for funds creates a scarcity mindset and culture in the nonprofit sector. Rarely do you see nonprofits collaborating when it comes to funding because it’s just not normal. We are beginning to change the norm. United, we have the potential to amplify our impact tenfold, fostering positive change locally and the world at large in 2024.

Most of the participating 10xers have seen unprecedented levels of growth in the last few years and look forward to collaborating to serve more Idahoans in 2024. This exponential force for good, denoted as 10X, holds the transformative key to uplift our communities and support strong families. We pooled our strengths to champion the cause of building stronger, healthier families and communities.

Idaho Partners for Good organized the 10Xers. Blossom Johnston knows firsthand the importance of working on both sides of the philanthropic coin (donors/nonprofits). “We have to start by educating donors because donors hold the key to transforming the nonprofit sector. Providing a good example of collaboration can help open the dialogue regarding the need to change mindsets and their giving behaviors. Almost every Idahoan gives of their time, talent and/or treasure because it’s part of our culture. We now need to channel these charitable resources in a way that will lift, amplify, catalyze, and better support our nonprofit sector so they can do more of what they do best! This means, acknowledging the crucial need for operational and capacity-building resources. We have to untie the hands of the nonprofit sector because they are the heart of our community and are on the frontlines of helping our families thrive.”

We are looking forward to continued collaboration in 2024. BTW: we will split the funds with Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce, NAMI Idaho, JEMfriends, Inc., Jesse TreeBoise Rescue Mission, So Good, Good Samaritan Home, Idaho Diaper Bank, Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline
